A PANIC meeting was held, Feb. 7 at the Diamondfork Junior High School. Mrs. Utah, Tiffany Berg was the guest speaker for the evening. Mechelle Leifson welcomed those in attendance and thanked the Principal for the use of the school, Spanish Fork Channel 17 and her family for their support. She then introduced Mrs. Utah.
Berg struggled with addiction from the age of 13. As a wife and mother of five children she was determined to find help. "There is one thing with addiction," Berg said. "You are very unwilling to let people in and get feedback."
She continued, "Recovering is a journey. It's doesn't happen without pain. You have to be ready to walk the walk."
Berg speaks often to youth groups, eating disorder clinics, and prison ministries in an effort to assist others in overcoming addiction and low self-esteem.
"You don't have to be a pageant winner or a millionaire, you just have to have a vision," commented Berg. "Thank you for letting me come tonight."
