CHRISTMAS HELP AVAILABLE -- THE NORTH COUNTY NEWSPAPERS ARE CONTINUING THEIR HOLIDAY TRADITION OF ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR NEEDY FAMILIES IN NORTH UTAH COUNTY TO RECEIVE HELP FOR CHRISTMAS.

Through Dec. 12 nominations may be made, in writing, to the newspaper office. Forms are available at 399 E. State Rd., Pleasant Grove. Individuals or groups who wish to sponsor one or more of the needy may make selections during office hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Submissions should be based on the need for help. They should include information about unemployment, illness, injury or other reason the family may be facing a bleak holiday. Each nomination should include the name, address and telephone number of both the family which needs assistance and the person making the nomination, so the sponsor may use them as confidential contacts.

DANCE CAPS OFF LEHI FAMILY WEEK -- HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN, GRANDPARENTS, TEENAGERS AND PARENTS BUNNY HOPPED THEIR WAY TO THE CONCLUSION OF LEHI FAMILY WEEK NOV. 25 AT THE LEHI LEGACY CENTER DURING THE FAMILY DANCE. ONE OF SEVERAL ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR THE WEEK, IT CAPPED OFF THE END OF THE CELEBRATION.

"This is great, this is just great," Kara Buchanan, Lehi Family Week chair, said of event. "It's been really good."

She said people are beginning to plan ahead for Family Week and attendance is increasing.

It was Greg and Helaina Arnette's first experience with Lehi Family Week. They had moved from Suison City, Calif., to Cedar Hills two weeks ago. They are looking for a permanent home and because of their experience in Lehi are looking in Lehi.

"The kids are having a great time," Greg Arnette said. "It's great to see them laugh and see them be a part of something."

SUB-4-SANTA SEEKS DONATIONS -- FROM FINISHING DRYWALL TO A REFRIGERATOR, DONATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR THE LEHI SUB-4-SANTA PROJECT.

The wish list includes one dependable used car for a single mom, linoleum installation with linoleum provided, unstable balcony repair, access door installation, plumbing, floor taken up, grout, tile installation, wooden toy box bench, electric clothes dryer, toddler bed, high chair, double stroller, vacuum, dining room table and four chairs, baby dresser, sofa and love seat, microwave, help with Lehi utility bill, help with car repairs (two transmissions, two engines, two windshields and several smaller parts. To donate labor or items, call Linda Turner at 768-1102.

Linda Turner and Traci Smith are coordinating the annual Sub-4-Santa and are additionally looking for volunteers to help with the activity. They also need names and contact information of families who could benefit form a secret Santa. TUNA CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN -- THE LEHI CITY ARTS COUNCIL PRESENTS A LIGHT-HEARTED CHRISTMAS ON DEC. 7 TO DEC. 16 AT 7:30 P.M. WITH A "TUNA CHRISTMAS." DOORS OPEN TO THE SMITH FAMILY THEATER IN THE LEHI ARTS BUILDING, 685 N. CENTER ST., LEHI, AT 7 P.M.

Two actors, Steven Poulsen and Michael Carrasco, along with some split-second costume changes, portray all 22 citizens of Texas's third- tiniest town.

Tickets for shows may be purchased online or at the door. Cost is $8/person, $20 family, $5/students and seniors. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 7 p.m. with concessions and rest rooms available.

JAZZ BEAR RETURNS -- THE UTAH JAZZ BEAR IS BACK FOR HIS NINTH VISIT AT LEHI HIGH SCHOOL ON DEC. 6 WHEN THE PIONEERS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM HOST THE TIMPANOGOS THUNDERBIRDS AT 7 P.M.

Sponsored by the LHS Sports Marketing Team, they are excited to bring the Bear back. The Jazz Bear will perform a variety of dunks, stunts and entertainment.
