Brady's group will be narrating stories about American Fork's old theatre scene during the 1800's, when the city boasted an opera house, dance hall and brass band.

The annual History and Heritage Pageant will be Aug. 8, 9 and 11 at the American Fork City Cemetery. The pageant will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. The cemetery is at 26 W. 600 North, American Fork.

This year the pageant will feature vignettes depicting American Fork's old Opera House as well as life stories from Patience Loader, William Bromley, James and Sarah Chipman and John Mercer. Attendees may also reminisce with Gladys Williamson as she remembers life in downtown American Fork. There will be several other demonstrations, exhibits and entertainment.

Crafts include pottery, bobbin lace, sculpting, twining, weaving, arrowheads and Navajo rugs.

Entertainment includes bluegrass music, Susan Russon, Tom and Gael Schults with Gaelic music, Old Time Fiddlers and Native American dancing by Megan Welch.

Whole families may enjoy food, entertainment, free wagon rides, free watermelon, arts and crafts displays, and, as always, the famous 25 cent ice cream cone.

Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family. Tickets are good all three days of the pageant.

Anyone with may call the cemetery office at 763-3095 or Cindy Holindrake at 756-8254.
