MT. PLEASANT-- Utah State University Extension Office in Sanpete County will be conducting a series of gardening workshops beginning Feb. 12, at Horseshoe Mountain Hardware, 1095 South Highway 89, Mt. Pleasant.
Extension Agent Matt Palmer and other experts from the area will present information on many gardening topics and they will be available to answer questions. To pre-register call 435-462-0100.
The following lists dates, times and topics to be covered. All classes will be held on Thursdays.
Feb. 12, 6:15 p.m., soils and fertilizers.
Feb. 19, 6:15 p.m., vegetable gardening and small area gardening.
Feb. 26, 6:15 p.m., weed control.
Mar. 5, 6:15 p.m., drip irrigation/water conservation and rose care.
Mar. 12, 6:15 p.m., insects and diseases.
Mar. 19, 6:15 p.m., selecting and planting trees and water-wise land.
Mar. 26, 5:30 p.m.. fruit tree pruning.
April 2, 6:15 p.m., lawn grass care.
June 4, garden tour.
