A man who police say was involved in an altercation with former child star Gary Coleman in Payson has filed a personal injury lawsuit against him.
Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, and another man, Paul Rohbock are also named as defendants.
According to the Associated Press, earlier this month police said Coleman hit Colt Rushton with his truck after arguing with him in a bowling alley. Payson police Lt. Bill Wright said Rushton and Coleman got into an argument over pictures Rushton was taking inside the bowling alley. Police say the argument continued outside and it was unclear at the time whether Coleman hit the man on purpose.
Wright said Coleman was backing out of a parking spot after midnight Saturday when he hit the man and another vehicle, the AP reported. It was unclear whether Rushton or the other vehicle was hit first.
Rushton was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries and released, according to the AP.
KSL reported Wednesday evening that Coleman has been charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
Coleman moved to Santaquin in 2005, around the time he starred in "Church Ball," a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the AP reported.
Coleman starred in the TV show "Diff'rent Strokes" as a child.
