• ASSAULT -- Springville police arrested a man on Sunday after he reportedly stabbed his father in the face with a kitchen knife. According to a police affidavit, 20-year-old Jordan Oldrock was found half a block from his house covered in blood; he was heavily intoxicated. Police took him to the hospital, and while medical personnel were attending to him he reportedly spit blood at a member of the ambulance crew, hitting her shoe, according to the affidavit. The father also was taken to the hospital with a cut on his right cheek, and later underwent surgery to stop the bleeding, according to the affidavit.

Oldrock was arrested on charges of domestic violence/aggravated assault, assault against a health care provider, public intoxication and illegal consumption of alcohol.
