• Elite Life Solutions LLC of Springville will host a health awareness group for people with sleep apnea and their family members and friends. The group is Wasatch Valley AWAKE, part of the American Sleep Apnea Association Network.

Meetings will be held every third Thursday of the month with different topics, speakers and health care professionals. The first will be this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at 703 N. Main St. in Springville. For more information, call Brenda Smith at (801) 491-8539.

• New York Life Insurance Company recently announced that Gregory Piercy, a senior at Brigham Young University and a Provo resident, is the Pacific regional winner of the company's 10th annual College Agent Intern Program summer sales contest. The contest recognizes four college agents who have submitted the highest number of new applications for the purchase of an insurance product. The winners will celebrate with a trip to New York Life's headquarters in New York City in January 2009 to meet with the agency department's senior management team.
