MT. PLEASANT-- Wasatch Academy will host a Spring Spectacular Celebration Saturday, May 9. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m., with a parade down Main Street. The parade will assemble just east of State Street on Main, by the Mt. Pleasant City Library, proceed down Main, then turn left at 300 West.

Sanpete County Sweetheart and Mt. Pleasant Rodeo Royalty plus many different varieties of animals and their owners will be the included in the parade. Many interesting people will display their skills at juggling, unicycling and bicycling among other things.

On the Hamlet Soccer Field, at the southeast corner of 100 South and 300 West, there will be horseback riding exhibitions, fencing and Akido demonstrations and some of the animals will be available for further viewing.

Wasatch Academy Theatre Arts students will perform a unique and fun-filled production, "For the Love of Three Oranges," based on European circus and clown traditions and directed by Winnie Wood, that will take place at dusk. The cast includes some of the younger members of the Wasatch Community who participate in a theatre class for young children.

The public is encouraged to attend the Spring Spectacular at no cost. Seating will be on the grass, so bring blankets to sit on.
