MORONI-- Five young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Moroni at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 25, at the North Sanpete Middle School Auditorium. This year's theme for the pageant is, "A Time To Remember."
The reigning Miss Moroni, Lara Christensen, and Miss Sanpete County, Christine Cox, will host the pageant.
Competing for the title are Diana Vazquez, Ana Ramirez, Heather Frederickson, Emily Bagley and Shalynn Madson.
Moroni City encourages everyone to join them as they remember the early days of Moroni and to celebrate the current time.
Diana Vazquez
Diana Vasquez, daughter of Jose L. and M. Manuela Vazquez, is a sophomore at North Sanpete High School and will perform a vocal solo for her talent. Her platform is titled "Future Faces of the World."
Ana Ramirez
Ana Ramirez, daughter of Jesus and Maria Ramirex, is a sophomore at North Sanpete High School and will perform a dance solo for her talent. The platform she has chosen is "Alcohol and Tobacco Awareness."
Heather Frederickson
Heather Frederickson, daughter of Rick and Connie Frederickson, is a junior at North Sanpete High School. She will present a slideshow and poem for her talent. Her platform is titled, "Helping Children Stay Physically Fit."
Emily Bagley
Emily Bagley, daughter of Lynn and Marilyn Bagley, is a senior at North Sanpete High School. She will perform a dance solo as her talent. For her platform she plans to focus on the self-esteem issues that young people face.
Shalynn Madsen
Shalynn Madsen, daughter of Ryan Madsen and Jamie Burdette, is a sophomore at North Sanpete High School. She will perform a dance for her talent. For her platform, she would like to educate elementary students on making healthy food choices.
