A 28-year-old Springville man was arrested Thursday for allegedly holding a gun to a girl's head and sexually assaulting her.
According to a police affidavit, the 17-year-old victim told police that Jason Sallee pointed a handgun at her head at his home in Springville and began touching her inappropriately. She also told police Sallee placed the gun inside her mouth.
Police executed a search warrant at Sallee's home Thursday and found a loaded .22 caliber rifle, according to the report. Police also found abundant drug paraphernalia, including marijuana seeds. He also had empty balloons, syringes, baggies and marijuana and methamphetamine pipes. According to the report, Sallee is a restricted person and is not allowed to own a firearm. Court records indicate Sallee was convicted in May of drug and gun charges, including discharging a weapon from a vehicle. He also has convictions for drugs and assault from 2005 and 2008.
According to the affidavit, Sallee admitted owning the rifle and having drug paraphernalia. However, he reportedly denied forcing the juvenile to do anything with him. He allegedly told police he took sexually explicit pictures of the girl, but no other sexual acts occurred.
Sallee was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on a $9,999 cash bond. He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, unlawful detention, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
