From right, Krista Keele, 3, of Orem, stands with her sister Daniela, 6, and brother Ethan, 5, as she eats a snow cone while watching others enjoy the carnival at Cherry Hill Elementary School in Orem Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009.
Proceeds raised from ticket sales at the carnival, a long running tradition, help fund PTA events and projects that benefit children at Cherry Hill. A variety of food and attractions including games, treats, rides and a dunking booth, were available for kids and parents to enjoy.
"It's good to help the school," said Keele's father, Grant Keele. "The kids enjoy all the games and have a good time."
Held in late September, the weather is always a concern for the school when planning the event but there were no complaints as the sun shone on Thursday. "We worry every year about the weather, but this year it's turned out fantastic," PTA President Patti Henwood said. "In fact, we're a little bit sweaty."
