People wanting to get the H1N1 vaccine Tuesday won't need to line up in the dark hours before the clinic opens. They will, however, need a reservation ticket.

Utah County Health Department spokesman Lance Madigan said 6,000 reservation tickets will be handed out for Tuesday and Thursday's clinics. People lined up on Monday to get the tickets, which designate a half-hour period during the day Tuesday or Thursday for those people to come get the vaccine.

"All the health districts are having issues," he said. "Everybody's trying to deal with it in different ways."

People who did not get a ticket Monday will not be able to get the vaccine this week, and people who miss their appointed time also will have to wait until a new shipment arrives. The good news, Madigan said, is the waiting is considerably less; the most people waited in line was an hour and a half, and they should wait less than an hour to actually get the shot.

Compare that to the three-, four- and five-hour waits of the last few weeks, and it doesn't seem so bad. At least, that's what one person told Madigan in line Monday.

"Last week when they came, they turned around and left because they couldn't get through," he said.

The high-risk groups, including children and young adults, pregnant women and people with chronic illnesses, still are the priority; Madigan said the vaccine will be available to the population at large when the supply increases.
