"Your Voice Can Make a Difference" will be the theme for the Ninth Annual Women in Leadership Scholarship Conference to be held Saturday, in the Moot Court of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU. After a continental breakfast and a flag ceremony presented by Independence High School ROTC, Provo Municipal Councilwoman Laura Cabanilla will be the keynote speaker.
Following the keynote address, attendees will choose two breakout sessions: Rock the Vote!; Community Service; Professional Careers; and Dating...Choosing the Right One.
A $500 scholarships will be awarded to four of the high school seniors in attendance. This conference and the scholarships are made possible through the generous donations of Neways, Mountain America Credit Union, Marilyn Kofford, Clyde Companies, Inc., Intermountain Health Care Community Outreach, American West Bank, Dianne Carr, and Women in Leadership Sustaining Members.
The conference is open to any woman of any age who would like to attend. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students, which includes a continental breakfast and a lunch buffet.
