In the final hearing before Martin Bond’s scheduled jury trial, 4th District Judge Thomas Low ruled that the defense has to provide a witness list to the prosecution.

In its original motion the state had been requesting other information, including investigative reports, which defense attorney Stephen Howard said compromised attorney-client privilege and put Bond’s Fifth Amendment rights at risk, but Howard said at the hearing the prosecution limited their request to just the witness list.

Howard said they have no problem providing the state with a list of the witnesses they plan to call when the trial begins in January.
