A Provo man has been arrested on multiple counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Luke Rowell confessed to downloading and sharing child porn via a person-to-person file sharing network called Ares, after several members of Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force were able to download files from Rowell’s computer. Rowell admitted he had been downloading child porn since he was 16.

According to court documents Rowell provided all of his passwords and computers to officers during the investigation. A glass pipe and marijuana were found under his bed during the investigation but because of his cooperation charges for the drugs likely will not be filed.

Rowell was booked into the Utah County Jail on 22 counts of possession of child porn and seven counts of distribution of child porn.
