A new chapter of the National Honor Society has been established at Lehi Junior High School.

National Junior Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship and service.

Students at Lehi Junior who have been selected for the inaugural chapter of this organization have cumulative grade point averages of 3.7 or higher and have demonstrated a high level of leadership and character.

Chapter officers are president Nate Christofferson, vice president Katie Foster, secretary Erin Sandmire, ninth-grade representative Kirsten Watkins, eighth-grade representative Sabree Crowton and seventh-grade representative Jake Christofferson.

Charter members are Kourtney Blanc, Jordan Bricco, Jake Burningham, Cherokee Carrillo, Kaitlin Carrell, Carter Durrant, Hannah Foster, Austin Gerber, Calvin Gray, Sean Holland, David Lee, Josh Lee, Jill Loveridge, Sara Miller, Elisa Myers, Heidi Payne, Reta Ray, Spencer Richards, Jordan Smith, Derek VanSteeter, Danielle Warnick and Kirsten Watkins. Upcoming events include an induction ceremony for members in May, and completion of a service project.

Another selection process is underway for interested students.
