MT. PLEASANT-- The elementary schools of North Sanpete School District have launched a reading promotion entitled, "Get Fired Up For Reading." The program is part of the district's efforts to encourage recreational reading at school and at home.
Students record the time they spend reading at home on the scales of the reading dragon in hopes to extend the body of the dragon around the library and the school.
The promotion will offer prizes and awards for the most outstanding readers. The promotion will continue through the first of the year.
