When I first started making this, the original recipe called for cooking it in the microwave. I did that quite a few times, until I came to my better senses; baked goods just aren't going to brown or make a crust in the microwave. So, just started experimenting with how long it would take to test "done" with a toothpick poke. It's a relatively small batch, don't plan on it lasting too long.
Coffeecake
Ingredients:
2 cups Bisquick
1/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
2 T. melted butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup Bisquick
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 T. butter, chilled
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ยบ. Grease 9-inch square baking pan. Combine first six ingredients, stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Combine remaining ingredients, sprinkle on top. Make indentations in the batter with fingers so topping will bake in. Bake 20 -- 25 minutes or until golden brown.
