Students at Canyon Elementary School have been participating in activities outlined by their PTA for Green Ribbon Safety Week. Monday they discussed basic safety rules in their classes. Tuesday was "Walk Your Child to School Day." Wednesday they could attend a "Health and Fitness Fair" with their families. Thursday was "Bike and Helmet Safety Day" and Friday was "Wear Green to School Day" to show support for Safety Week. Students got to sign a pledge stating that they would follow basic safety rules. They handed in their pledges for a drawing to win a bike helmet. The winners included Tyler Snider and Addisen McLean who are pictured above. Other winners were Austin Murray and Paisley Payne.
