BIRDSEYE -- A two-car rollover in Spanish Fork Canyon killed one woman and injured two other people early Friday evening.
The accident occurred at about 6:25 p.m. on U.S. Route 89, near mile marker 305 and the small town of Birdseye. Utah Highway Patrol spokeswoman Mary Kaye Lucas said the accident killed a 33-year-old woman and left a 2-year-old boy in critical condition. Lucas also said a second woman was in poor condition.
Authorities had not released the victims' names Friday evening.
According to Lucas, the accident involved a Mazda passenger car and a pickup truck, both of which landed upside down. U.S Route 89 remained closed at about 7:30 p.m.
