"Famous Family Nights" by award-winning writer Anne Bradshaw is catching the attention of all who have ever tried, failed and succeeded at holding family home evening. After a preliminary order of a thousand copies for Brazil, this book is heading for success.

With so much to do and little time to do it, many feel overwhelmed when it comes to organizing a perfect family night. "Famous Family Nights" shows how very normal this feeling is. With stories that bring a smile, it inspires readers to see the humor and love in this familiar Monday night tradition.

Bradshaw has compiled an outstanding collection of anecdotes and ideas from 91 LDS performers, artists, authors, sportsmen and more. A few of these are: Alan Osmond, Amy Osmond, David Glen Hatch, Sam Payne, Rachel Ann Nunes, Bruce Summerhays, Paul Skousen, Carol Lynn Pearson and Susan Easton Black.

The book encourages readers to win where they may once have lost, and to build strong, faith-centered families despite many obstacles.

"The main reason I compiled "Famous Family Nights" was to help others see that even with opposition, family night can work, and to let people know they are not alone in their struggle to succeed. I've enjoyed results that come from holding family home evening in my own family, and thought it might be fun for others to read of trials and triumphs from many people they may recognize. There are entries from singles, newly-weds, longer-weds, and empty-nesters. Something for everyone," said Bradshaw.

International opera singer, George Dyer comments, "After reading the first few stories in this book I let out a sigh of relief and a chuckle as I realized my family really wasn't so dysfunctional when it came to family home evening experiences after all! This collection of stories is a "must-own" book, whether you are LDS or not. It provides wonderful ideas, and also helps us realize how important family time is to our children - whether they know it or not."

Bradshaw was born in Wales, grew up in England, where she and her husband Bob raised their family, and moved to Utah in 1997. She has lived in both Springville and Mapleton, and published articles, books and short stories for over twenty years.
