Where have all the letters to the editor gonefi
Just in case the Daily Herald does not get it, your income comes from people like me who subscribe to your paper. You dedicate from little to no space to letters to the editor. Too often you have big cartoons with little or no message and other meaningless messages.
If you do not get enough letters, encourage readers to write. If you get more than one letter from the same writer, big deal. Publish as many as he wishes to write to you (space permitting). Your competition in Salt Lake City dedicates more space to letters to the editor.
Encourage diversity. From the writers of those letters to the editor, you can tell most are of English descent. What happened to the Latin Americans, Orientals, Asians and the rest of us. Some of us may be amazed by what we can learn from cultures which have been around thousands of years.
Get the community involved in your paper. Whatever happened to your meetings on tolerancefi Overcoming the fear of having one's name read in the paper can be rewarding.

Orem
