We follow what we're taught, it's what we do best

In response to the letter from Robert Olsen on Sept. 6, why does the Daily Herald continue to print letters from fanatical Republicans in such a fervor to support the president and this warfi These letters demonstrate what a complete lack of individual thought exists in this county.

From the time we were eight years old, most of us were told we were going to be baptized into the LDS Church. We would be allowed to date at 16, usually in groups. At 19 males would serve honorable missions, come home, go to college and be married.

Lastly, we learned from our parents to always vote Republican. The by-product of this plan is it teaches us to follow and not to lead. It works for our religion, but the world is another matter.

It's no coincidence the only state where President Bush still has a favorable rating is Utah. It's because we're so indoctrinated into believing Democrats are evil that we support Republicans regardless of their failures.

We don't look at evidence. We were taught to follow, and it's what we do best.

Lindon
