In regards to Brittney Gubler's letter regarding, Payson City street maintenance, I feel there should be additional efforts in controlling spending. They have exceeded the budget in my opinion with expensive police cars. In most cities they control expenditures by trimming the budget in all departments and cutting positions in unproductive departments. They need to take a long, hard look at what initiatives are being set forth by city employees above and beyond their duties. I know it is difficult for City Management to curtail and do all the things that are necessary with a limited budget. On the most part I feel Payson City Officials have done a great job, but there is still more things for them to do.
