SALT LAKE CITY -- Six Costco warehouse employees were treated after inhaling leaking Freon gas.

The Salt Lake City Costco was partially evacuated Monday evening and two of the employees who were treated by paramedics were given oxygen through masks. There were no serious injuries and no one was transported to the hospital.

Salt Lake fire spokesman Mark Bednarik says an employee called 911 to report a gas leak from one of the store's refrigeration compressors. A pipe had burst and vapor and Freon leaked into back rooms.

Bednarik says firefighters in hazardous materials suits shut off the pipe's valve.

By later Monday, the Freon had dissipated.
