"Life has been pretty fulfilling," said Tami Stanley of Orem. "There are some limitations but I can still do a lot of things." Stanley lost her leg three years ago after complications to a shattered bone from a softball accident three years prior. She continues to lead an active lifestyle walking everyday, lifting weights, riding a bicycle and being a part of a paralympic bobsled team.
Stanley who is spearheading a bill on behalf of the Amputee Coalition of America to put insurance coverage for prosthetic care on par with other basic, medical services. Representative David Litvack is the sponsor of the bill.
