Mountain View Hospital CEO, Kevin Johnson, welcomed members of both the Spanish Fork and Payson community to a special ribbon cutting for the newly remodeled and renovated Women's Center at the hospital.
The ribbon cutting was held on Thursday, September 3rd and gave community members the opportunity to tour the renovated second floor which includes the labor and delivery and post partum area as well as the nursery.
Johnson welcomed and recognized those in attendance which included the hospital team, the architect, Mayor Bills, members of both the Spanish Fork/Salem and Payson Chamber of Commerce and royalty from both Spanish Fork and Payson.
Johnson then spoke of the new parts of the women's center. The center will now allow for all women's imaging services to take place in that part of the hospital as well as a new classroom which will host prenatal classes for parents.
"We now have very nice, large delivery rooms as well as private post-partum rooms," said Johnson. "We have also re-designed the nursery as well."
Johnson also welcomed Nathan Osmond, a local performer who was born in Payson. Osmond held a concert later that evening to help Mountain View Hospital help celebrate their 30th birthday.
