The FIRST ANNUAL Nebo United Onion Days 3v3 Soccer Tournament was a success and the beginning of a new tradition patrons can expect to have a great time participating in. This event hosted teams ranging in age from 9-40+.

Every team was guaranteed a minimum of 3 games and ended up playing a few more than that. By the end of the day everyone was pretty well tuckered out, but still committed to coming back next year.

A 3v3 Tournament is played on a 30'x40' field with 3 of the 6 players per team on the field at a time. There are two 12 minute halves. What is really fun about a 3v3 tournament is that in the space of one large soccer field you have several mini-games taking place at the same time. It is really a lot of fun to have all of those soccer games going on in close proximity of each other.

The competition was varied, excellent and fun. Players were creative in naming their teams, i.e., Red Hot Lasagna, or P-Town Beat Down. As it was, Red Hot Lasagna and FC Comfort Inn were great sports and played teams almost half their age.

They definitely 'got into the game', and gave every single one of the four U15-U18 (high school age) teams a very good run for their money. It was very exciting and fun to watch. If you missed it this year, you will definitely want to participate next year, either as a participant or spectator.

Thanks to Karl Teemant, we had enough mini-fields ready for fun. We will be using all of them in next year's two-day event. We are already looking forward to it. We would also like to express our gratitude to Coralee Wilson, Councilman Brad Daley, and Councilman Kim Hancock for their support and also The Ink Spot for our T-shirts and Far West Bank. It is because of their support and the support of the teams that came to play the FIRST ANNUAL Nebo United Onion Days 3v3 Soccer Tournament was a success. Thanks, Everybody!
