PHOENIX -- Chris Young singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, and the Arizona Diamondbacks scored six runs in the eighth inning to rout the San Diego Padres 10-3 on Saturday night.

Arizona won its fourth straight and improved to a major league-best 13-4, the best start in its 11-year history.

Arizona trailed 3-2 in the seventh when Justin Upton greeted reliever Joe Thatcher (0-2) with an infield single. Upton scored when Paul McAnulty misplayed Stephen Drew's drive to left field, which was ruled a double.

• Mets 4, Phillies 2: At Philadelphia, Oliver Perez pitched 5 2-3 scoreless innings, Jose Reyes hit a two-run homer and New York beat Philadelphia for the fourth straight time.

• Rockies 3, Astros 2: At Houston, Brad Hawpe singled in the go-ahead run in the fifth, Aaron Cook pitched seven strong innings and Colorado won its four straight to climb over the .500 mark for the first time this season.

• Braves 4, Dodgers 1: At Atlanta, just hours after coming back from the minors, Chuck James allowed one run in five innings and the Atlanta bullpen shut down the Dodgers the rest of the way, leading the Braves past Los Angeles for their third straight victory.

• Brewers 5, Reds 3: At Cincinnati, Bill Hall's two-run double in the 10th inning kept Milwaukee perfect in extra innings this season.

• Cubs 13, Pirates 1: At Chicago, Jason Marquis pitched six solid innings for his first victory of the season, Derrek Lee and Daryle Ward homered and Chicago beat Pittsburgh for the eighth straight time.

• Giants 3, Cardinals 0: At St. Louis, San Francisco's Tim Lincecum pitched seven sharp innings and beat St. Louis for the second time in a week.

• Marlins 6, Nationals 5: At Miami, Wes Helms singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth and Florida snapped a two-game losing streak.

Helms' one-out grounder up the middle off reliever Saul Rivera (1-1) scored Dan Uggla from second.

Mike Jacobs and Jorge Cantu had three hits each for Florida. Josh Willingham had two hits, including a triple, and scored twice.

Felipe Lopez went 2-for-4 and was the only Washington hitter with more than one hit. The Nationals came in to the game hitting .223, lowest in baseball.

Kevin Gregg (2-0) got the win after blowing his first save. He gave up two runs in the ninth.
