Roddick loses to Djokovic at Open
NEW YORK -- Betrayed by his big serve, 2003 champion Andy Roddick lost to Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5) in the U.S. Open quarterfinals Thursday.
Two points from forcing a fifth set at 5-4 in the fourth, Roddick double-faulted twice in a row and was broken for the fifth time -- twice more than he lost serve in his first four matches combined.
The third-seeded Djokovic, the reigning Australian Open champion, advanced to a semifinal meeting against Roger Federer. It's a rematch of last year's U.S. Open final, which Federer won for his fourth consecutive title at Flushing Meadows.

Women's soccer wins in OT
Senior Jenni Clough scored two goals including the game-winner in overtime to lead Utah Valley to a thrilling 3-2 win over Northern Colorado in NCAA women's soccer on Thursday afternoon.
Less than two minutes into the extra period, Clough took a Jennifer Lohner pass and fired a perfectly placed shot into left corner to send the Wolverines (2-0) to their second straight win to start the season.
"Clutch," said head coach Brent Anderson of Clough. "She's our Michael Jordan. She's a player that the team counts on and she puts a lot of pressure on herself but she comes through for us."
Clough also scored the first goal of the game after Andi Bagdan floated a long pass from beyond the centerline that caught the senior forward seamlessly in stride.
Northern Colorado (2-3) tied it up in the 31st minute after a handball gave the Bears a direct kick just outside the box and Teresa Prais took advantage by going under the defensive wall and into the right corner.
Clough's game-winner came with 8:03 remaining in the first overtime, giving UVU its first overtime win since the 2006 season.
Utah Valley will come right back on Saturday in a 1 p.m. start against Texas State. The Bobcats played at Utah State on Thursday in a game that ended in a scoreless tie.

BYU Women's soccer falls to Willim & Mary
Freshman forward Lauren Anderson continued her strong start to the season, recording the first goal of her Cougar career, but the BYU women's soccer team lost a difficult match Thursday evening, losing to William and Mary 4-1 in Williamsburg.
"William and Mary did a great job," said head coach Jennifer Rockwood. "They are a solid team. It's disappointing defensively to give up four goals again. We need to work on being ready to play when the whistle blows, and we need to work on playing on the road."
The Cougars fell behind early when the ball bounced off sophomore keeper Aleena Shelton and rolled into the goal for an own goal in the 17th minute. Senior defender Dani Collins added the second Tribe goal at the 18:02 mark off a corner kick, and William and Mary took the 2-0 lead into the break.
Anderson found the back of the net and got the Cougars on the board when her shot from the top of the goal box bounced off and rolled into the goal. Kristi Dow-Jackson assisted her shot.
William and Mary added two goals in the second half. Kellie Jenkins and Claire Zimmeck both scored for the Tribe after the break.
The team now travels to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face off against Marquette University on Saturday. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. Live audio and stat feeds will be available by visitingwww.byucougars.com/soccer_w/ and clicking on the 'schedule' page.
