ST. GEORGE -- Justin Hamilton scored 25 points, pulled down eight rebounds, handed out three assists and blocked four shots to lead Lone Peak past Dixie 74-51 in non-region boys basketball action Saturday.

Behind the play of Hamilton, the Knights (2-1) broke away from a 10-10 tie at the end of the first quarter to lead 32-25 at the half. Lone Peak had to get some help of the bench, particularly in the first half, when it was slowed by 15 personal fouls.

Lone Peak led by 13 heading into the final period. Dixie came back hard and managed to cut the lead to 11, but could get no closer.

"I thought our defense was good, we rebounded well on the defensive end," said Lone Peak coach Quincy Lewis. "I thought we played really well in the second half. As a team, we got through the foul trouble."
