If you are a senior in high school this is your year, live a little. Do something different.

If someone offers to set you up on blind date, take it. If someone offers you tickets to the BYU/UCLA game for a homecoming activity, do it.

What else are you going to do, go to the zoo?

Come on, take a dare. Give Madden 2008 a break. If you're looking for a little excitement in your life, boy do I have a contest for you.

As part of the Beat the Zuke contest, I have decided that, in honor of Timpanogos' homecoming activities this week, I am announcing a new promotion called, "Win a Date With MJ -- Malerie Jaramillo."

Who is MJ?

She is part of Timpanogos' dominating soccer team. The same team that beat Spanish Fork 10-0. She put the wheel on the bicycle kick. She is the "Dream" in the Dream Team.

Because of her love for the Beat the Zuke contest, she has agree to participate in the "Win a Date With MJ" promotion.

If you would like to be considered to "Win a Date With MJ," then all you have to do is e-mail me why you would want to win and I will take the best e-mail and fix you up. You don't have to be from Timpanogos to be eligible.

Best of all, it's free. What do you have to lose? Send your e-mails to greatzuke@excite.com.

Speaking of prizes, I have some for last week's winners. Let's see, what do I want? Movie tickets, Lagoon passes, restaurant gift certificates? I know I could autograph a book and give it to myself.

No, wait. I am ineligible to win the contest.

Lucky for you all, because last week I was perfect.

Shocker, I know. I went 8-0 and aced the contest. There were a few other contestants who copied my picks and let's give credit where it's due -- if you're smart enough to copy my picks, kudos to you.

Those winners are: Dane Henderson, Wayne Reynolds, Gary Briggs and Mark Lopez.

If you missed a game last week--bzzzz!--you lose.

Now let's get to this week's winners. Remember e-mail me your picks at greatzuke@excite.com and don't forget to include the score in the Pick the Score game which will be Snow Canyon at Timpanogos.

Snow Canyon at Timpanogos

Here's a tip. If you see anyone in the Fowler family--run!

Nash "He Hate Me" Fowler has a broken collar bone. Brooks Fowler has a broken had and Jaxon Fowler has a torn hamstring.

I dislocated my finger just typing this.

But there is some good news at Timpanogos. JoJo Pili is back this week and the Green Bay Packer Club is meeting this week to elect a new president.

The candidates are: Rhen Andersen, Kelton Holbrook or Coach Kyle Bilbao.

The first order of business for the new president is to select music for the victory dance. May I suggest, the duo of Cade Andersen and Mark Hernandez, who penned the hit song "Bells."

Hernandez and Andersen could be bigger than The Used.

Orem at Tooele

Not to put any pressure on Orem or anything, but if the Tigers win, I say Austin Jones sings, "We are the Champions," at Applebee's Idol contest that will run from Oct. 21-Dec. 9 on Tuesday nights. I'll call my colleague John Isaacson at the Tiger Times to see if he could do a story on Jones' performance.

• Orem 34, Tooele 20

Union at Salem Hills

Winning free lunches from a certain unnamed Salem Hills coach is as easy as beating certain unnamed Salem Hills basketball coaches in a 3-point shootout.

But let's stick to talking about football.

These Skyhawks have been close this year, thanks to Gus Dewey. I'm projecting this team playing Union close too, but in another loss. Have I ever told you that winning comes in so many different forms?

• Union 23, Salem Hills 16

Provo at Springville

Have the Bulldogs figured it out? Last week they nearly beat Lehi. The Pioneers had to score in the final seconds of the game to beat Provo.

Colton Ramon will make sure this game doesn't go down to the final seconds.

• Springville 27, Provo 17

Kearns at Lehi

Comeback story of the year. Cinderella story. A win and the Lehi Pioneers will be 3-1!

Why do I always have to spoil the party?

• Kearns 27, Lehi 20

Spanish Fork at Brighton

People always ask me how is it that I have so much success picking winners. I'll tell you a secret -- I have people on the inside. Take this week's game against Brighton. I saw Drew "I Have No Clue" Davis, former star running back at Spanish Fork, last week and asked for some insight on this game.

He said, "Who do they play this week?"

Never mind.

When in doubt, I just rely on my psychic ability.

Breck Lewis converts a two-point conversion that proves to be the difference in the game.

• Sp. Fork 21, Brighton 20

Lone Peak at Park City

This Park City team is better than you might think. Only problem is Derek Anderson is also better than you might think.

• Lone Peak 21 Park City 13

Pleasant Grove at Copper Hills

Since I love Pleasant Grove, I will hand out a double prize to any Viking students who enters the contest and wins. Come on Newey, what are ya, yella? Someone in the sports marketing class should get in this contest. It's part of your grade. If you don't know who will win, just ask Nate Johnson. He knows everything.

• Pleasant Grove 42, Copper Hills 24

American Fork at Skyline

Don't worry Cavemen, your assistant principal Jeff Schoonover tries this method of scheduling every year with his fantasy football team. He plays the best teams in the league early and after he gets slammed, he emerges as a stronger team. This must be the case for these Cavemen. Remember, don't panic early in the season.

• Skyline 34, American Fork 23

Payson at Mountain View

This is a chance for both teams to forget about the preseason. I was having a hard time deciding who to pick in this game, but then I noticed that since the school hired Jon Clark as the baseball coach, there is a buzz of excitement at Mountain View. That will carry over to the football field tonight.
