For the third time this season, BYU senior punter/kicker Riley Stephenson earned some recognition for his phenomenal punting and kicking.
Stephenson was once again named the FBS Independent Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in BYU's 7-6 defeat at Boise State.
Stephenson had punts of 52, 55, 56 and 57 yards in the Cougar loss. He kicked six times for a 47 yard average, with four of those punts ending up inside the Bronco 20-yard line.
For the season, Stephenson is averaging 47.3 yards per kick, fifth in the FBS.
Others recognized this week were Army running back Raymond Maples (offense) and Irish linebacker Manti Te'o (defense).
