Kristi Dow-Jackson scored the first goal of her BYU career as the No. 11 BYU women's soccer team stayed undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 win over New Mexico on Thursday at South Field.

Dow-Jackson, a junior, came off the bench to score in the 35th minute on a crossing assist from junior Kassidy C. Shumway. Dow-Jackson's initial shot was deflected as two defenders and the New Mexico goalkeeper converged at the top of the goalbox, but Dow-Jackson made sure the second try slipped through.

"I just thought, 'This isn't going to get away, I'm going to put this in,' " Dow-Jackson said of the goal.
