EPHRAIM-- The Snow College football team returned to their winning ways with a 32-6 stomping of number 12 Georgia Military at Badger Stadium Sept. 12.

The victory came on the heels of Snow's 35-17 loss Arizona Western.

"The difference in this game is taking care of the little things," said Snow College Head Coach Steve Coburn. "We took care of the football, we scored when we got in the red zone and we played with intensity the whole game."

Snow College quarterback Quinn Mecham led the Badger attack with 218 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite target in the game was Mazi Ogbanna who caught nine passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

The Badgers jumped out to an early lead with a 75-yard pass play between Mecham and Jeremy Sondrup to give Snow a 7-0 advantage in the first quarter. From there the Badgers rolled up 12 more unanswered points and took a 19-0 lead late into the third quarter.

After Georgia Military scored its lone touchdown, Snow running back Tyson Church followed up with two fourth-quarter scores, part of an 80-yard performance.

"When we play hard the whole game and do the little things well, we are a very good football team. Georgia is a great football team. We knew it would be a battle and we are happy to come away with the win," said Coburn.

The Badger defense did its part, forcing two turnovers and holding Georgia Military to only 51 first-half yards. The game was Snows fourth against Georgia Military, with the Badgers coming away victorious each time.

Up next for the Badgers is a road trip to Roswell, NM. Saturday, Sept. 19, to take on New Mexico Military Saturday.
