BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall showed up to Tuesday's interview in the football lobby of the Student Athlete Building with a new prop:

A few Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

He grinned as he said he would pass them out to the reporters who asked the best questions.

The first one was awarded to a reporter who simply asked, "Can I have a doughnut?"

"Good question," Mendenhall responded, handing one over. "See how easy it is everybody?"

There weren't very many Krispy Kremes so it was apparently something Mendenhall had left over from some other purpose.

It is just one other sign, however, of Mendenhall relaxing and being himself more. He's enjoying coaching and doesn't feel as much of a need to be as rigid with reporters as he did in the past.
