Former BYU running back Harvey Unga has been through some rough times since being injured and then getting cut by the Chicago Bears.
He's tried to remain optimistic but I know there have been times when the outlook has been bleak.
But today, all of his efforts and patience paid off as Unga signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Unga's agent, Rose Blakelock of NFLDraftMasters, said Saturday afternoon that Unga had flown out to Jacksonville earlier in the week but had just gotten the final word that he had locked up a spot.
I feel pretty lucky to have followed Unga from his days at Timpview through the ups and downs at BYU and then through his early NFL career.
He's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and I think I am just one of thousands who are thrilled to hear he's getting another chance to chase his dream of playing pro football.
Check back for complete details and reaction from Unga.
