Linebacker Jadon Wagner has decided to enter the Canadian Football League draft instead of returning for his senior year at BYU, according to an article in the Edmonton Journal.
Wagner is 26 years old and missed most of spring practice because of personal reasons. He started nine games in 2010 and proved to be an effective runstopper with 38 tackles (21 solo), seven tackles for loss and a sack.
After missing spring, Wagner may have decided he had fallen too far behind. The linebacker group for 2011 is as deep and talented as the Cougars have had in a long time.
