LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The 21st annual American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I-II Men's All-America teams were announced on Saturday with BYU's Futi Tavana, Taylor Sander and Robb Stowell included in the list of honorees.

Tavana received first team honors with Sander and Stowell was named on the second team. Sander was also selected the AVCA Division I-II Men's Newcomer of the Year.

Tavana, a 6-foot-8 middle blocker from Kalaheo, Hawai'i, ranks second nationally in Division I-II in blocks per set, while leading the Cougars to a 20-8 record in 2011. Tavana, who was selected to the All-MPSF first team, is now a two-time AVCA All-American.

Sander, a 6-4 outside hitter freshman from Norco, Calif., was also recently named the MPSF Freshman of the Year and ranks nationally in hitting percentage, kills per set and aces per set leading the Cougars to as high as a No. 2 ranking in the AVCA Division I-II Top-15 Coaches Poll.

Stowell, a 6-7 opposite from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., ranks in the top-10 nationally in kills per set while also ranking nationally in hitting percentage. The California native's excellent season was rewarded with a selection to the All-MPSF first team and his first AVCA All-American honor.

BYU, USC and Penn State all tied for the most athletes honored with three lauded individuals while Stanford, UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara all had two honorees each.

In other news, the USC-UC Santa Barbara showdown for the MPSF tournament title was so good there's going to be a rematch: The two teams will face off in the first semifinal (7 p.m. ET) at the NCAA Final Four at Penn State on Thursday. USC earned the at-large bid to the Final Four while UCSB, by virtue of its 5-set victory over the Trojans on Saturday, was the MPSF tournament champion.

The second semifinal (9 p.m. ET) pits homestanding Penn State (24-6) against Ohio State (24-6). Both matches can be seen on ESPN2.

The final will be Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, also on ESPN2.
