Region 4

• Pleasant Grove def. American Fork 3-0: At Pleasant Grove, the Vikings completed a perfect Region 4 season with a 25-13, 25-13, 25-18 victory over American Fork, and will go into next week's 5A state tournament as the top seed from the Region.

Danica Mendivil led the Vikings with 12 kills and five aces. Kemi McFarland added 10 kills and 18 assists and Jen Hamson had nine kills.

Makenzie Moea'i led the Cavemen with seven kills.

• Alta def. Hillcrest 3-0: At Sandy, Alta's Caitlyn Vanhoff had 10 service aces in . 25-6, 25-15, 25-10 win over Hillcrest in Region 4.

• Brighton def. Jordan 3-0: At Salt Lake City, the Bengals pulled out a sweep over Jordan.

Region 7

• Timpview at Provo: At Provo, the Bulldogs pulled out a close 25-23, 25-5, 27-25 Region 7 victory over Timpview.

• Lehi def. Timpanogos 3-0: At Lehi, the Pioneers had 17 aces as they swept past Timpanogos 25-12, 25-17, 25-15 in Region 7.

2A state tournament

At UVU

• Enterprise def. Gunnison 3-0: At the 2A tournament at UVU, third-ranked Enterprise beat Gunnison 25-7, 25-16, 25-16 in the first round to advance in the championship bracket. Gunnison moved into the consolation bracket, and was later eliminated from the tourney with a 25-11, 27-25, 25-13 loss to North Sevier.

In other first-round matches, San Juan def. Kanab 3-0, Layton Christian def. Millard 3-0, Beaver def. Rowland Hall 3-2, Grand def. Maeser Prep 3-0; Waterford def. South Sevier 3-2, South Sumit def. North Sevier 3-0 and North Summit def. Parowan 3-0
