    Courtesy Orem Public Library 01: This photograph dating from 1913, shows a group of people standing in front of a train engine on The Salt Lake and Utah Railroad, or the Orem Like, as it was called my many. The 67-mile electric rail line financed and constructed by A.J. Orem and Company under the direction of Walter C. Orem. The line opened on Pioneer Day in 1913.

This is an example of photos donated by the public to the library's Digitization Project to preserve the city's past in photos.

    Courtesy photo The Bunnell Pioneer Home is one of less than thirty remaining in Orem from the settlement period of 1877 to 1919. It is one of only six houses built prior to 1892 which remains the same as it did then. Today it is located in the middle of Utah Valley University's campus.
