Emma Hartley, 4, of Pleasant Grove attempts to win the Pie Eating Contest, while being cheered by mother Carolyn Hartley. "I got to eat so fast," Emma said. Emma took part in the contest because the whole family wanted her to. She also said that she was happy after winning a shirt. "It is all about family," Mandy Carson, of Pleasant Grove, said. Carson has been working at the festival for 10 years. "There are great traditions. It is the longest running town celebration in the state of Utah," Carson said.
