Eli Tippets open house

The children of J. Eli Tippetts will host an open house for their father on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 998 W. Center.

Eli was born 90 years ago on this date in 1918 to George Wilbur and Betsy Ferguson Tippetts. He married Marion Witney (deceased) in the Logan LDS Temple in 1946. Their children are Ruth (Dennis) Packard, Lynette (Bill) LeRoy, Robert Eli (Sharon) Tippetts, Jean (Joe) Bonnett and Gary (Jeanette) Tippetts.

He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and taught speech, drama, English and reading for many years at Springville High School. He has entertained extensively in the area with humorous readings, stories, singing and playing his trumpet.

He currently resides at the Hearthstone Care Center in Spanish Fork.
