You won't find a copy of "The Book of Jer3miah" at Borders or Barnes & Noble. That's because "Jer3miah" is a Web-based mystery-action thriller, a serial movie produced in three-to-five-minute online segments by student actors and filmmakers at Brigham Young University.

"The Book of Jer3miah" has won the respect of everyone from The New York Times to the LDS Film Festival, where Season One was shown in January as a two-hour feature film. Another prominent recognition rolled in last week when "Jer3miah" was named an Official Honoree in the Online Film and Video division at the 14th annual Webby Awards.

Visitors to can watch Season One of the series in its entirety. The story focuses on a college freshman, one Jeremiah Whitney, who has an unusual sensitivity to spiritual guidance and is entrusted with the protection of an important ancient American relic. A second season of Jeremiah's adventures is in development and projected to be released later this year.
