We may not be as obsessed with onion rings as hit singer Lorde, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know a good ring when we see one.
There are plenty of opportunities to have this obvious serving of (deep-fried) vegetables across Utah Valley. But we wanted to help narrow down the plethora of options to the best o’ the best.

Sidecar Café at Legends
If the biker vibes and feel of grit aren’t appealing to you, maybe their high quality fare will. With grade-A burgers, fries and onion rings, plus an obvious Americana vibe, Sidecar Café will quickly become a regular stop in your search for onion rings.

Art City Trolley
Springville is apparently a hot bed of excellent American food. Just down the road from the Sidecar Café is the Art City Trolley, with its iconic trolley a hallmark of what makes Springville great. And what makes the Art City Trolley great? Great burgers, great quesadillas, and great onion rings.

If you haven’t made a special trip after 8 p.m. to grab one of Burger Supreme’s half price burgers, you haven’t lived. But you especially haven’t lived if you’ve frequented Burger Supreme and have yet to have their awesome onion rings.

The unassuming and oft-overlooked burger stand near State Street in Provo is a gem. It harkens back to the good ol’ days of pop-up burger joints with soda jerks and 50s-era fare. The cherry on top is their crispy, crunchy onion rings that’ll keep you coming back for more.
Yelp review: Anyone can make onion rings, but not everybody can make good onion rings. Tommy's onion rings are very good. The onions are fully covered: no open spots where the batter did not stick to the onions. The batter is cooked right: not too crunchy, not soggy. The onions are cooked: when you bite into it, you don't pull the onion out of the batter. Yet you still get the slight crunch of the onion. Think of your typical burger joint, like McDonalds and Burger King, and then add a dose of class. Then you'd have Habit Burger Grill. Not too dissimilar from competitors like Smashburger or Five Guys, Habit Burger Grills are fresh and juicy. And their onion rings are real ringers.

Just across the interstate in Provo is the Great Steak Grill, and it’s pretty obvious what they serve — great steak. And while they crank out their tantalizing T-bones, they also fry some amazing onion rings.

The Purple Turtle has been an institution in Pleasant Grove for more than 50 years, so it's no surprise that people love their hand-breaded, traditional onion rings.

Polar Queen Drive Inn
This was another suggested by our readers, who said that the onion rings were a go-to for those in southern Utah County.

The family-owned Santa Queen Drive-Inn in Santaquin has been serving burgers in southern Utah County since 1977. Some of their signature menu items include homemade onion rings and country fried steak sandwiches.
