More and more people are turning to plant-based diets, and luckily, many restaurants are catching on to the trend. While there aren't any restaurants in Utah County that exclusively serve vegetarian or vegan food (that we know of), there are several that offer delectable dishes without meat or animal products. From Italian to American to Indian, there's a wide variety of both fresh, healthy dishes and savory, comfort food dishes in Utah Valley restaurants that conform to vegetarian and vegan restrictions, without sacrificing on taste.

Indian food is always a good go-to when you're looking for a savory plant-based meal. Bombay House has a wide array of appetizers, entrees and drinks perfect for both vegetarians and vegans.
Menu highlights include Vegetable Samosas and Vegetable Pakora appetizers, a Mango Soy Shake and a whole menu section for veggie meals. Our food reviewer particularly enjoys the Vegetable Masala curry and the Coconut Tofu. According to the menu, not all vegetarian dishes are vegan, but most can be made vegan upon request (likely with coconut milk substituted for cream). Oh, and feel free to stuff your face with all the warm naan bread your heart desires.

Vegetarian options include Margherita, Four Cheese and Truffle & Vegetable pizzas.

Ginger's Garden Cafe
Ginger's is very health-centric and plant-based. Even though not every menu item is vegan, quite a bit of it is. They've got vegan menu items ranging from loaded nachos to soups to burgers to pie (and more in between).
Basically, if you're looking for a place in Utah Valley with a large menu of vegan options, Ginger's is probably your best and most delicious bet.

(Several more breakfast dishes are vegetarian/vegan).
On the lunch and dinner side, the Black Bean Burger is topped with the usual burger works plus avocado, pickled jalapeños and homemade cashew mayo-cilantro lime dressing; the Beet & Goat Cheese Salad serves up a spring mix, roasted red beets, pistachios, goat cheese, avocado, orange slices, orange zest and orange balsamic vinaigrette. Who said vegan food couldn't be comfort food? This modern-style burger joint offers both veggie patties and Beyond Meat vegan patties to satisfy hungry non-meat eaters.
Add on an order of classic or sweet potato fries and call it a day (or avoid the food coma and opt for the Greek Salad with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, red onion, feta, romaine and lemon herb vinaigrette).

This casual restaurant serves up high-end, unique tacos. One fun item on the menu is their vegetarian taco: large chunks of bright red beets substitute for meat, housed in a blue corn tortilla and topped with crumbly white cheese (request commission for vegan) and more fun toppings.
Plus, you can never go wrong with a good order of chips and guac, and this restaurant has the best guacamole our food review has ever tasted.
