Local musician Steven Stucki is lined up to release his fourth and latest studio album, "Hip & Nerve," at a live release party at Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo.
Stucki hails from American Fork and is currently studying advertising at Brigham Young University. He started writing songs and playing the guitar in 2004, and in 2011 joined with drummer Cory Beighley and vocalist Cade Tueller to form a band that will be featured at the CD release.
According to Stucki, the songs on this particular album represent the most difficult year of his life, and it's something he's hoping others will be able to relate to.
"My goal is to help people feel the emotions I do when experiencing life," he said in a release. "If my songs enable people to feel their emotions more acutely, then I am pleased."
The release will start at 8 p.m. Friday at Velour, 135 N. University Ave., with tickets available at the door for $7. Stucki's latest album also will be available for purchase. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/stevenstucki.
