Zella Rose Ogden Zella Rose Nelson Ogden, passed away on July 10, 2005 from causes incident to old age. Zella was born September 22, 1919 in Leamington, Utah to Esther Talbot Nelson and Earnest Nelson. She attended Delta High School and later moved to California where she met the love of her life, Jim Ogden. They were married June 24, 1943 and enjoyed nearly 50 years of happiness together until Jim passed away in January 1993. Mom was an excellent homemaker and took great joy in always having a clean and beautiful home. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and painting. Zella was a wonderful mother, and her daughters are especially grateful for her teaching them about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Zella is survived by her daughters: Kay (David) Balmforth of Orem and Pamela Ogden of Provo; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruben Nelson, Delta Nelson Rowe Gunn, Hazel Nelson Daret, Artense Nelson Dahlgren and Vera Nelson. Zella lived with her daughter Kay for the past eight months where she received wonderful care from Kay and her family. The family would also like to thank the wonderful nurses and aides from Vistacare Hospice for their kindness to mom for the past 14 months. Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Mortuary Chapel at 600 East 800 North, Orem. Burial will be in Leamington City Cemetery on Thursday.
