Valorie Jane Rich

Valorie Jane Rich, age 56, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away May 24, 2007, with her loved ones gathered around her after an unexpected illness.

Valorie was raised in Phoenix, AZ by wonderful parents, Norman and Helen Erb. She was a graduate from West Phoenix High where she was on the cheerleading squad. She later ventured to Utah where she attended BYU and raised a beautiful family. She was currently employed as terminal manager for 22 years at Swift Transportation in Utah. Valorie was always touching the lives of others and did a lot of good that went unnoticed, and never asked for anything in return. She was young at heart and lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by the love of her life, Peter Brown; a son, Cody Rich; 5 daughters, Jessica (Brandon) Woods; Amanda (Brian) Jakeman; Joannie Brown; Alison (Trev) Smith; and Jacqulyn (Justin) Johnson; 6 siblings, Norman, Stanley, Susan, Jack, William, and Tommy. Her greatest joy was being a grandma to 14 grandchildren, Karlie, Derik, Damien, Jmeeka, Jesenia, Jaicee, Daysn, Callen, Macie, Daegan, Dace, Railey, Kinnley, Aydan, and one on the way. Preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Helen Erb, and a loving son, Jerry Greenhalgh. While she will be greatly missed by all, the wonderful memories will live forever in our hearts. WE LOVE YOU!

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland Ward building, 5212 W. Country Club Drive, Highland, UT. Friends and family may call on Tuesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and at the church on Wednesday, one hour prior to services.
