Utah County is a great place for family fun, with events across the valley for all ages.

Here are five fun events that are perfect for the whole family this week:

Buy some books

There’s nothing quite like diving into a great book, and right now you can get some of the best buy-one, get-one free at the Scholastic Book Fairs BOGO Sale. This warehouse sale includes end-of-the-year blowouts and already reduced items, with a little something for every member of your family.

When: Remaining dates Tuesday-Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Head to Hope of America

Each year, Provo’s Freedom Festival hosts “Hope of America,” an event where over 8,000 fifth-grade students from more than 100 schools across Utah join together in patriotic colors to form an American flag. The event features song and choreography with three performances that are open to the public.

When: Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy the arts

If you’re looking for entertainment and inspiration, look no further than the Young DanceMakers’ Evening of Dance at Brigham Young University. The event will feature 150 children varying in age from 6 to 18, who have choreographed and created their own dances to share with those in attendance. Tickets are priced at $13 with details at arts.byu.edu.

When: Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Visit Thanksgiving Point

This week there’s plenty to do at Thanksgiving Point’s five venues: the Museum of Natural Curiosity, Farm Country, Ashton Gardens, the Museum of Ancient Life and the Butterfly Biosphere. Though just a casual visit also is fun, Ashton Gardens’ Tulip Festival has been extended through Saturday, offering stunning views of spring blooms. Also, the Museum of Natural Curiosity is celebrating its five-year anniversary with interactive games, fun surprises and educational activities. The party runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is included with admission.

Experience Grassroots Shakespeare

Orem Library hosts regular events for the community targeting guests of all ages, from magic shows to concerts, readings to classes. This weekend, the fun includes a special performance of “Romeo and Juliet” courtesy of Grassroots Shakespeare, an incarnation of the show that has been toured regularly at local schools.

When: Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
